Our Founder
Rea Bochner has always loved a good story, gobbling up books and penning stories at her desk while everyone else was learning about the periodic table. Her passion and raw talent brought her to Emerson College in Boston, where she sharpened her skills in screenwriting and began her trajectory as a groundbreaking storyteller.
Rea’s journey took her through the gates of the Walt Disney Company and Universal Studios—places where dreams are made. After her share of behind-the-scenes action, Rea left Hollywood to chase another kind of dream, becoming a journalist, feature writer and editor for international media outlets that introduced her to voices from around the world.
Rea’s transition from journalist, editor and acclaimed memoirist to the founder of Authowrity was sparked by a realization: the world is bursting at the seams with untold stories. All they needed were the right people to bring them to life.
In 2021, Rea took the leap from playing solo to conducting a chorus of voices. She assembled a formidable all-female team of writing and editing talent who shared her vision of not just telling stories, but celebrating them–and Authowrity was born.
